I started drifting a little over two years ago, at the time it was just for something fun to do. At the time I had built my S13 to be a good “street car”, but after getting rear ended at a traffic light I decided it was time to give drifting a shot. After my first event I was instantly hooked! The atmosphere, the camaraderie of the sport, the cars, the smoke, just the way it all came together was awesome and I instantly knew I wanted to be a part of drifting for years to come!
My 2009 season was short; I only did a couple events at a semi-local banked oval in NH. After getting my feet wet in NH and learning about Clubloose in NJ, my goal was to drive at Clubloose and to make in some of the awesome videos produced by Jersey Streets that I always watched. So over the winter of 2009/2010 I had my car caged, I rebuilt my LS1 with new heads, cam, and got the car up to Clubloose A-group specs. Once the season started I quickly advanced to A-group in by my second Clubloose event and continued to progress and learn faster that I would’ve imagined. Throughout the season I started to think, “Maybe I could be competitive in this sport…” which lead to me entering the XDC New Jersey event. I was still new to tandem and had never competed before. I missed the top 16 by one spot, qualifying 17th. But the event gave me the itch and desire to compete, which gave me a new goal for 2011!
For the 2011 season I wanted to compete and do good, that was it! At the start I didn’t have much of a direction/determining factor of what would be considered “good”, I just knew I wanted to go to events, have fun, and be happy with my own performance. I quickly realized I loved competing more than I would’ve thought and I was doing better than I thought I would too! During my 2011 season I qualified and made it into the top 16 for every single competition I entered, I had several podium finishes, learned so much, created so many memories and made a ton of new friends, and was chosen to be a part of the 2012 ASD Mob! I couldn’t have asked for a better season really. I am super happy to be apart of the Mob and I can’t wait to soak up all the knowledge they have to offer and apply it to my 2012 season of Pro-Am competition!
I would like to say thanks to all my fans, supporters, and partners, without them I wouldn’t be here!! Look for me on the U.S. East coast Pro-Am circuits and DMCC’s Pro circuit and be sure to keep your eyes on the following sites for updates, awesome news, pictures and videos!
